Crafting Creativity, Building Community

 curios & notions

A Place for Making, Mending, and Remembering
205 Main Street, Gays Mills, Wisconsin, 54631

Curios & Notions is a working studio, a supply shop, and a place to trade knowledge.

We keep old tools in use. We honor slow craft. We believe that what we make with our hands shapes how we live.

You’ll find:

Vintage machines and rare notions
Handmade goods from regional makers
Useful things, beautifully made
Seasonal workshops and family-friendly projects
A quiet back space for divination and deeper work

We open fully in September 2025, but the shelves are already stirring!

This is not a store built on trends or mass production.

It’s a place for:

Limited-edition, locally made goods
Hand tools, fabric, and patterns with stories
Subscription boxes and project kits (coming fall)
Skills you can carry into winter and beyond

We help you repair. We help you rebirth. We meet you where you are in the making.

Classes & Studio Gatherings

We teach real skills in small groups.

Visible mending & patchwork
Craft as storytelling
Upcycling, reuse, & environmental fiberwork
Family-friendly day camps & homeschool enrichment

Each class is an invitation to listen, make, and share. See upcoming workshops on the door or subscribe for fall listings.

Into The Veil

Behind the main shop is a smaller space — low light, old books, quiet jars. This is where Julia offers intuitive readings rooted in story, symbol, and pattern. Offered online or in person, by appointment or by chance.

Glamour from the Chart

A personal color wheel, matched to your chart
A planetary breakdown of style elements (face, fabric, palette, movement)

Optional elemental and divinatory reflections :
A Vision Book (Lilith tier only)

Local First, Always

We work with nearby farms, artists, elders, and collectors. We trade skills. We use what we have. We don’t rush. Every jar, every spool of thread, every reading or class — it’s all part of the same story:

Living well with what’s around you. Rooting deeper instead of reaching farther.

Craft as Care. Practice as Power.

Coming September 2025
